Brett and I are celebrating our two year wedding anniversary this week! Where has the time gone? In honor of this anniversary, today I thought I would do a round up of our most used wedding registry items. We received so many amazing and generous gifts that we’re so thankful for, but naturally there are some that we use more often than others. If you are working on your own registry, these are the items I would consider wedding registry essentials.
Kitchen and Dining
Classic White Dinnerware Set: This is our everyday dinnerware set. I like how thick they are. It makes me think they are tougher to break!
Knife Block Set: We actually didn’t register for knives, but received them as a gift from Brett’s aunt and uncle. We thought the knife set we had was decent, but once we started using these knives we were blown away with just how much better they are.
Flatware Set: Before getting married we had a hodgepodge of silverware and none of it was great quality. This is perfect for everyday use and we have two sets so we can have matching silverware, even when we have large parties.
Wine Glass Sets: I’m a firm believer that you don’t need a really fancy or expensive set of wine glasses, but you do need at least one full set of red, white and champagne glasses. These are great and surprisingly we haven’t broken one yet! We also have acrylic stemless glasses for outdoor dining.
China: I know not everyone feels that china is a necessity (I even had to talk Brett into it!), but I really like having nice dishes for special occasions. Now that we have room to store it in our guest room, we can use it more often too.
Bed and Bath
Bath Towels: Good towels were another thing we didn’t have before getting married so I was very excited to register for these. They are really soft and have held up well. We have these in grey and mint/white.
Sheet Set: I recommend having at least two sets of sheets so you have a spare set on laundry day. These sheets are great and they can be monogrammed!
Pillows: I think one of the signs of becoming an adult is investing in good pillows, and enough pillows for when you have guests visit.
